Online Focus Groups

Online focus groups are a cost effective alternative to conventional "face-to-face" focus groups. For online focus groups we generally invite five to six people to join us for a specified period of time in one of our specialized chat rooms. In the chat room, participants spend about an hour discussing a specific topic such as their reaction to a Web site, concept test, advertisement etc. Our controlled environment is able to introduce text, graphics, sounds/jingles, video or multimedia for evaluation and testing.

Speedback online focus groups are led by professional moderators who are skilled at getting respondents to respond fully and openly. The moderator follows questions prepared in advance so that the focus group keeps moving and provides maximum value for the client. These questions (called a 'discussion outline') are developed and approved in advance by our clients.

Participation in an online focus groups is by invitation only. Participants can only enter the focus group room after they are pre-selected to meet the requirements of the study. After selection, respondents receive a valid password to enter the focus group area. Client observers can watch the group in action and even make private recommendations to the moderator as the group is progressing.

Unlike traditional focus groups, complete transcripts of the session are available minutes after the conclusion of the group. A complete report is then provided to the client in less than a week. This makes online focus groups an ideal research method when quick answers are required.

Please contact us with any questions about our online focus groups. We will be pleased to discuss your requirements and prepare a quote.
